Proven track record in mergers and acquisitions with an industry leader in consulting, banking or accounting or in a merger and acquisitions department of a multinational organization.
Qualifications:
One or more of the following professional degrees;
MBA, CA, CFA, Masters or PHD in
Finance, Economics or Marketing.
Ability to foresee industry trends and how to
take a position to maximize the benefits from
the anticipated
changes.
Ability to explore with prospects their individual,
specific needs from a merger, acquisition or divestiture
point
of view.
Ability to develop a mutual respect with owners
and key representatives of companies in certain
industries.
Good accounting skills with a solid understanding
of financial statements
Good communication skills both for telephone
work and working in a group environment
Fundamental understanding of the M&A marketplace
Ability to work efficiently and handle multiple
tasks and responsibilities
Ability to work alone and to be highly self-motivated
Good computer skills and ability to learn new
programs
Available to travel 2 days per week

RESEARCH ANALYST
General Function:
Research North American merger and acquisition activity. Read through news and press releases to identify relevant transactions, research these deals and then compile them in a database. Research through the Internet, telephone interviews, and other information sources to compile and analyze relevant data for specific client prospects.
Responsibilities:
Must be results oriented and provide
specific solutions to specific problems professionally,
on a timely basis,
accurately and with practical business acumen.
Track merger and acquisitions and accurately
and concisely transpose all of this information
into a database.
Prepare confidential ad-hoc reports addressing
the mergers and acquisitions market for specific
clients.
Qualifications:
One or more of the following professional degrees;
MBA, CA, CFA, Masters in Finance, Economics
or Marketing.
